<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an image forming or fixing material, which enables the efficient smoothing and glossing of the whole of the image forming or fixing material by applying cooling and peeling treatment to the image forming or fixing material with a resin layer mainly containing a polyolefine resin, by means of a cooling-peeling type and belt-fixing type smoothing treatment machine. <P>SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method for the image forming or fixing material, the image forming or fixing material, wherein the resin layer mainly containing a polyolefine resin is provided on one side or both sides of a substrate, is heated and pressurized at a temperature of ≥80°C but <110°C by a heating and pressurizing member of the cooling-peeling type and belt-fixing type smoothing treatment machine, and cooled at 80°C or less.
