PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict the moving speed of an operating force transmitting member transmitting operating force to various kinds of mechanisms for preparing for sewing and a thread cassette. SOLUTION: When attaching the thread cassette 10, a moving speed restriction mechanism 21 for restricting the downward moving speed of the thread cassette 10 when attaching the thread cassette 10 to a cassette attaching part adds rotation resistance to a pinion 121 fitting with a rack 120 formed at the thread cassette 10 by a rotation resistance adding member 122 to make resistance blocking the attaching operation of the thread cassette 10 act on the thread cassette 10. Thus, the moving speed of the operating force transmission member which is pressurized downward by the thread cassette 10 and transmits the operating force to a threading mechanism and a thread conveyance mechanism is also restricted, thereby the operating force is reliably transmitted to the threading mechanism and the thread conveyance mechanism to make both of the mechanisms operate precisely.
