<p>PURPOSE: To reduce the load to a hosting server for providing a customer organization with an e-mail transmitting and receiving service. CONSTITUTION: A center side mail server 30 representatively receives e-mails to a mail address in each customer domain 10 and arranges the e-mails in one file(bulk mail data) for each domain. A customer side mail server 14 in the customer domain 10 periodically accesses the center side mail server 30 and downloads the bulk mail data to the customer domain 10 from the server 30. Then, the customer side mail server 14 decomposes the downloaded bulk mail data into data of individual e-mails and stores each of the e-mails in the mail box of each of their destinations. Each user PC 16 in the customer domain 10 can receive e-mails to the user PC from the customer side mail server 14 on the basis of a protocol such as a POP (post office protocol) 3.</p> |
