Method of manufacture for the frame (10) of a cooling fan for a motor vehicle engine, whereby a parameter model for any required components is provided from a component model database. The parameter models for the components are used by a data processing system to determine design parameters and to virtually assembly the components into a complete frame. An Independent claim is made for a system for manufacture of the frame of a cooling fan for a motor vehicle engine.
