PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object extraction device for extracting a main object from an image, an object extraction method and an image display device. SOLUTION: A noted object extraction part 1 computes a motion vector of an inputted image by a motion vector computing part 12, and estimates the presence of camera motion by a camera motion estimating part 14. In the case of estimating the presence of camera motion by the camera motion estimating part 14, the noted object extraction part 1 extracts a region where the magnitude of the motion vector is a prescribed threshold value or less, as a candidate of the noted object by a region extraction part 15.
