PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining replacement timing of a rope by remotely and continuously grasping deterioration processing status of the rope in an operating elevator. SOLUTION: A system continuously determining the deterioration processing status of the rope by remote monitoring is provided. To put it concretely, an actual load of the rope is calculated based on operation control data of the elevator and lifetime is judged by using rope damage database determined by an element test. In the resin coated wire rope, change of a color due to wear is visually checked or is detected by a light emitting diode to monitor damage of an outer layer coating resin by making the outer layer coating resin into a multilayer structure of a resin of different colors.
