More and more consumer apparatuses are equipped with Flash memory cards. Many of these cards are used to store audiovisual information. To retrieve this information, e.g. in the form of digital photographs, a personal computer and software tools are often needed. In this way, the images on the memory card may be shown on a computer monitor. User friendliness would be enhanced by offering means for inserting the memory card in a consumer apparatus for providing a video signal to a TV set like a set-top box or a DVD-player. Such equipment is usually connected to a TV set with a relatively large screen. Moreover, such equipment is usually located in the user's living room, where a large audience may view the images. In this way, other data like film or audio may also be presented. The consumer apparatus may be equipped with browsing means for browsing through multiple data objects stored on the memory card. The apparatus may even be built in a TV set. |
