PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for closed loop pulse string in stepping motor wherein control of a stepping motor against inertial load can be automatically adjusted and smooth driving free from step-out and vibration can be accomplished. SOLUTION: In the control method for closed loop pulse strings in stepping motor, a driving control portion receives a rotor position pulse indicating the rotor position of the stepping motor and a primary command pulse outputted by a command pulse generater to the driving control portion for driving the stepping motor. A secondary command pulse is outputted to the driving control portion. Then, the excitation sequence for the stepping motor is changed in synchronization with the secondary command pulse. The difference between the secondary pulse rotor position and the rotor position pulse is detected, and the difference is kept within an appropriate range. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
