REMOTE FAILURE DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM OF VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase items free to remotely diagnose in a remote failure diagnosis system to transmit vehicle information to an information center by collecting it from an on-vehicle terminal and to transmit a diagnosis result to the on-vehicle terminal as an automobile repairman carries out failure diagnosis by forming a material of the failure diagnosis on the information center.

SOLUTION: The on-vehicle terminal is characteristically constituted of: a diagnosis mode change-over means to make the vehicle in a state free to diagnose; a means to collect the diagnosis data in accordance with the diagnosis items in the changed-over diagnosis mode: and a means to transmit the collected diagnosis data to the information center, in the remote failure diagnosis system of the vehicle to carry out the failure diagnosis of the vehicle in accordance with information transmitted to the information center by collecting with the on-vehicle terminal and transmitting state information of the vehicle and to carry out failure diagnosis of the vehicle in accordance with the transmitted information at the information center.
