PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a color recording method in which economy and resource saving are enhanced while ensuring a high recording quality, recording size can be enlarged/reduced readily with a high flexibility and each recording head can be fixed (adjusted) readily. SOLUTION: When color recording is performed, a plurality of recording sections Cc, Cm and Cy having different single color ribbons 2c, 2m and 2y are arranged in parallel with the subscanning direction Y and an interval Fs is set among the recording sections Cc, Cm and Cy. Recording is performed sequentially at all recording sections Cc, Cm and Cy for each row L1, L2 recording a stripe S. The plurality of recording sections Cc, Cm can be arranged at an interval Fs equal to n stripes S (n is an integer of 1 or above). COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
