PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a packaged body of a rolled photosensitive material which makes accurate loading in a bright room possible without depending on manual labor or visual check of a worker. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a packaged body of a roll type photosensitive material which makes loading in a bright room possible includes processes of attaching light-shielding leader to both ends of a hollow winding core on which the photosensitive material is wound into a roll and of attaching a light-shielding leader to the tail end of the photosensitive material. The process of attaching the light-shielding leader to the tail end of the photosensitive material is characterized in that: a means to measure the joint gap between the end of the photosensitive material and the end of the light-shielding leader is used; the measured gap is compared with a preliminarily determined gap; and if the difference is equal to or larger than a specified value, joining of the end of the photosensitive material and the end of the light-shielding leader is repeated or the photosensitive material is rejected as joining failure from the manufacturing line.
