MANUFACTURE METHOD FOR TAPE TYPE COATED OPTICAL FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacture method for a tape type coated optical fiber which effectively restrains the deterioration of polarization distribution while restraining the lowering of productivity. SOLUTION: A plurality of optical fibers 1 fed from respective bobbins 20 are supplied to a coating device 14 in a state where they are arrayed in a plane state while passing through guide rollers with a groove 21a and 21b. At such a time, the optical fibers 1 to which tensile force (supply tensile force) is applied so that the elongation percentage of the optical fiber 1 may be≥0.3% and≤2% are supplied to the device 14. The optical fibers 1 in a state where the supply tensile force is applied are collectively coated with coating resin 2 press-fit from a direction shown by an arrow by the pump of a resin supply tank which is not shown by figure while passing through the device 14, and the resin is cured by a resin curing device 22 using a heater or an ultraviolet lamp so as to form the tape type coated optical fiber 3.
