<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse wave detector and a biopotential detector which can lower noises to be overlapped onto detection signals. <P>SOLUTION: A pulse wave detector 10 which noninvasively detects the pulse waves on a peripheral basis has a pulse wave detection probe 61 to be brought into contact with pulse wave detecting sites of subjects for detecting the pulse waves of the subjects, at least one biomedical ground electrode 63 to be brought into contact with the sites adjacent to the pulse wave detecting sites of the subjects for taking biomedical grounding and a mounting/holding member 62 which is arranged covering the pulse wave detection probe 61 and the biomedical ground electrode 63 to get the pulse wave detection probe 61 and the biomedical ground electrode 63 mounted on the subjects.
