<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing of a transmission for a vehicle that reduces amount of stored lubricating oil, has high lubricity, and can reduce stirring resistance by a final gear. <P>SOLUTION: The inside of the housing 1 of the transmission for the vehicle is partitioned by a partition 14 to a transmission chamber 2 for storing a belt-type continuously variable transmission 41 and a power transmission mechanism chamber 3 for storing a differential device 51 power transmittably connected to the continuously variable transmission 41.The housing has an oil pan 30 for storing lubricating oil in its lower part.The housing has a weir 26 for partitioning the lower part in the power transmission mechanism chamber 3 to a bottomed differential chamber 5 for storing a differential device 51 and an oil pan chamber 6 communicating with the oil pan 30, and a through hole 27 is opened in the weir 26. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
