PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Buddhist altar having an incense burner not requiring a kindling charcoal to make a fire for burning incense. SOLUTION: In this Buddhist altar, when a door is opened, the power is applied to the incense burner to heat a heater so that incense can be immediately burnt. Fig. 1 is a front view of the Buddhist altar 1 in the condition where an outer door 2 is closed, and the reference numeral 4 is the incense burner. Fig. 2 shows the condition where the door 2 of the Buddhist altar in Fig. 1 is opened, in which the door 2 is folded using a hinge 20, and an inner (sash) door 3 is closed. Fig. 3 is a diagram showing the Buddhist altar in which the inner door in Fig. 2 is opened. Fig. 4 is a side section of an electric incense burner 4 used in the invention, in which a container 24 storing incense 23 and a lid 2 are provided on the left side of the burner 22. A heater 27 heated by a power supply 16 is provided on the right side, and the incense is dropped in the heater to be burnt. Fig. 5 is a wiring diagram of the Buddhist altar according to the invention. Fig. 6 shows the illuminating condition of the altar. Fig. 7 is an altar front illuminating device in Fig. 6. Fig. 8 shows a structure in which an electric switch is turned on and off by opening and closing of the outer door 2 of the invention.
