<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device, or an assembly between a crankshaft eliminating a surface hardening and bearings, securing the reliability and productivity. <P>SOLUTION: This bearing device for an internal combustion engine comprises the crankshaft 3 for the internal combustion engine and the bearings 5 and 6 supporting the crankshaft 3. The crankshaft 3 comprises steel without hardening its surface hardening, mainly organized of perlite having a pro-eutectoid ferrite fraction of 3% or less, and having its surface roughness Rz machined into 0.8μm or less. The bearings 5 and 6 are joined with aluminum bearing alloy to its back plate and include silicone particles, at least, less than 4 mass% as their alloy components, so that the initial abrasion and damage of the crankshaft 3 can be suppressed to similar to or less than the abrasion and the damage of the conventional DCI shaft. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
