HANDLING METHOD FOR WIRELESS DEVICE RE-ENTERING SERVICE AREA

PURPOSE: A handling method for a wireless device re-entering a service area is provided so that a UE(User Equipment) re-enters a 3GPP(Third Generation Partnership Project) service area. CONSTITUTION: A UE includes an RRC(Radio Resource Control) and a plurality of unique states defining connectivity between the UE and a base station. Once the RRC indicates that it is "Out of Service", series of timers are started to limit the duration of attempts by the RRC to re-enter an "In Service" condition before the RRC releases allocated resources and moves to an "Idle Mode". In certain circumstances, it is necessary to stop one or more of these timers to prevent inadvertent disconnection.
