PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter which can bring about an improvement in workability and a reduction in construction period by dispensing with mounting work for a wall switch. SOLUTION: This shutter is equipped with: a frame body 2 which is provided in an opening of a building, and composed of a lintel 2a, a sill 2b, and right and left jambs 2c and 2c; a shutter box 5 which houses an electric shutter body 4 provided on the head 2a so as to roll up/down a shutter curtain 3; and a guide rail 6 which is provided in the front part of the jamb 2c so as to openably/closably guide the shutter curtain 3. A switch 8 for switching between opening and closing is provided near the shutter body 4; an operation member 9 for turning on/off the switch 8 is coupled to the switch 8 via a transmission member 10; the jambs 2c are made structurally hollow; and the operation member 9 is provided on an indoor side by inserting the transmission member 10 into a hollow part 27 of the jamb 2c.
