<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an operation can not be confirmed until actual print is started after a printer controller is connected to a host computer and a color copier, and a driver software of the printer controller is installed in the host computer, and when the operation is failed, the identification of the failure is difficult, and even when the operation is started, confirmation whether performance and image quality are normal or not is difficult. <P>SOLUTION: This printer control device having a processing means for processing data outputted from the host computer for outputting the data processed by the processing means to an image forming system is provided with a self-diagnostic means executed by a program execution means of the host computer, and a display means for displaying the result of the self-diagnostic means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
