PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC machine capable of improving rectification without decreasing flux quantity in magnets. SOLUTION: The magnets 2, 3 comprise main pole parts 2a, 3a of which the flux density is roughly homogeneous, and extension parts 2b, 3b provided so as to be extended from an end part of the main pole parts 2a, 3a in a rotational direction (X direction) of an armature 4. The extension parts 2b, 3b are formed so that the flux density may be larger than the main pole parts 2a, 3a and gradually increase by a length corresponding to an angleθin a rectification zone toward the rotational direction. A teeth bar front end 8b on a rotational direction side in five teeth 8a around which armature coils 9a, 9b are wound at the time of starting rectification is disposed at a boundary between the main pole parts 2a, 3a and the extension parts 2b, 3b.
