PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contactless ticket which is prevented from carelessly processed when one has a magnetic ticket and the contactless ticket, and also provide an automatic ticket gate for processing the contactless ticket. SOLUTION: This is an automatic ticket gate which carries out entry/exit processing on the basis of data recorded in a train ticket thrown into the insertion slit of the main body of the automatic ticket gate or in the contactless ticket which is allowed to touch or held up over an antenna installed in the main body of the automatic ticket gate. In this case, a reading means which reads the data recorded in the contactless ticket and a prohibiting means which prohibits the entry/exit processing based on the contactless ticket when the prescribed data showing that the magnetic ticket is carried are included in the data thus read until the contactless ticket approaches further or touches the antenna and prescribed data are read from the contactless ticket.
