PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power unit to improve the combustion efficiency of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: A power unit 1 comprises an internal combustion engine 23 having a main combustion chamber 31 with a first fuel fed thereto and a sub combustion chamber 33 to burn a second fuel to generate flame in order to ignite the first fuel, a reformer 5 to reform the fuel through the cyclodehydrogenation reaction to generate liquid fuel of high octane number with abundant aromatic compounds and gas fuel with abundant hydrogen, a gas-liquid separator 8 to separate liquid fuel from gas fuel, and devices 11 and 17 to feed the liquid fuel to the main combustion chamber 31 as the first fuel and feed the gas fuel to the sub combustion chamber 33 as the second fuel.
