<p>The invention relates to a method and a circuit arrangement for recognising loaded coils in a telecommunication line. Periodic transmission symbols are transmitted by a transmitter (2, 4, 5) in order to recognise the load coils. An analog received signal is received by a receiving device (3, 6), which is then scanned and further processed.
