The module comprises a printed circuit board (L) that, as electrical interface on the one hand, comprises a plurality of metallic plugin contacts (SK) proceeding parallel in the region of a first end face for direct plugging of the module into an assembly. As optical interface on the other hand, the printed circui t board is connected to an optical element (OE) in the region of a second end face. Ove r and above this, components side and back side of the printed circuit board are respectively at least partially covered by a housing part (GK, KK).
