REFRIGERATING CYCLE AND HEAT PUMP WATER HEATER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environmentally-friendly heat pump water heater capa ble of assuring a high reliability by sufficiently holding oil film on a compressor sliding part and also capable of saving energy and providing a high efficiency in a heat pump water heater using carbon dioxide refrigerant (CO2).

SOLUTION: In this heat pump water heater using carbon dioxide refrigerator, either one type of poly α-olefin or paraffin mineral oil or naphthene mineral oil or alkyl benzene which show the non-compatibility with the carbon dioxide refrigerant or a mixed oil is used as a refrigerator oil. Thus the wear of a compressor can be suppressed, a leak current can be reduced, and a performance can be increased.
