PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure accuracy in AF processing and at the same time to prevent the erroneous recognition of a photographer or the like, even if camera blurring is generated during the photographing preparation period of a non-blurring correction mode in an electronic camera having a blurring correction mode and the non-blurring correction mode. SOLUTION: In the non-blurring correction mode, blurring is corrected only in each exposure period of a CCD, no blurring is corrected in the output period of pixel data, and a blurring correction lens is reset to a center position. As a result, the blurring is eliminated (or is avoided) in an image photographed by each exposure operation even if the camera blurs, thus accurately performing the AF processing for use in photographing preparation carried out by using the image data of the image, generating the blurring among respective images photographed by each exposure operation, and displaying a blurring image at an LCD display section.
