<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading and recording device with good operation efficiency which can give notice of a comment (an outline of a read document, the purpose of distribution of the read document, etc.), concerned with the read document and carry out input and recording of the comment and reading and recording of the document through a series of processes. <P>SOLUTION: When the comment on the read document is inputted by a user's operation on an operation part 5 or by transmission from a PC 20 through a communication line C and a PC interface part 12, the inputted comment is previously stored in a comment storage box 7a. When the printing of the comment is indicated, contents of a plurality of kinds of comments stored in the comment storage box 7a are displayed in order at a display part 4 and the user is prompted to specify a choice. Once the contents of a comment are specified, a recording part 3 records the specified comment on a cover page and then record an image corresponding to image data read by a read part 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
