PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize an air leakage quantity, and to minimize a gas quantity emitted from a device wall by maximally perfecting vacuum sealing for maintaining a high-degree vacuum over a long period. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method of a vacuum solar heat gathering device having a heat absorbing plate 6 for receiving solar heat, comprises a process of preparing a casing 5 formed of a metallic material having a linear expansion coefficient larger than glass, and window glass 7 having adhering metal 8 in a peripheral edge part, and fitted in an edge side part 16 of the casing 5, a process of performing baking processing by housing and heating the casing 5 and the window glass 7 in a body 1 of a vacuum furnace, and a process of melting the adhering metal 8 by heating to a temperature higher than a melting temperature of the adhering metal 8 by continuing with the baking processing, cooling the metal by stopping heating thereafter, coagulating the adhering metal 8, and vacuum-sealing the casing 5 and the window glass 7 by shrinkage force of the casing 5.
