METHOD OF RECOGNIZING PLC MODEM LOCATION BASED ON CHANNEL ESTIMATION

The present invention relates to a method for recognizing the location between a plurality of power line communication (PLC) modems connected to each other by bus topology based on a power line. The method comprises the steps of: (a) allowing a first slave PLC modem to perform channel estimation using a training sequence with at least one second slave PLC modem; (b) allowing the first slave PLC modem to analyze a relative distance from the at least one second slave PLC modem based on the channel estimation result value to draw location information; (c) allowing the first slave PLC modem to form a PLC modem map showing the locations of the first slave PLC modem and the at least one second slave PLC modem; (d) allowing the first slave PLC modem to transmit the PLC modem map to a master PLC modem at regular intervals or intermittently; and (e) allowing the master PLC modem to calculate at least one PLC modem map, which is received from at least one slave PLC modem and is different from the PLC modem map, to form an integrated PLC modem map.
