<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for an IC card having a spring for locking with simple structure, surely preventing the fall-off of the card after insertion, and a front side/back side reversed erroneous insertion by enhancing the strength of the spring. <P>SOLUTION: The connector for IC card, formed so as to make an electrode of the IC card connect with a contact in an insertion port by the insertion of the IC card into the insertion port of a housing, comprises a slider, arranged in the housing, moving forward and backward by interlocking with the attaching/detaching movement generated by pushing in and pushing out the IC card, and a lock mechanism part, locked by a locking spring when the IC card is pushed in the slider, and releasing the locking when the IC card is pushed out. The locking spring comprises a locking protrusion, locked to and unlocked from a fall-out preventing protrusion of the IC card by appearing and disappearing on the IC card sliding side of the slider, and a fall-off prevention part moving forward and backward at the other side of the slider. The part between the locking protrusion and the fall-out prevention part is formed into a shape hard to deform by the force applied from fall-out prevention part side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
