<p>A drying apparatus comprising a drying chamber (5), a feed assembly (1) and a discharge assembly (2) wherein the respective assemblies each comprise a housing having a bore with radial inlet, and an outlet, a piston (3) disposed within said bore for reciprocation therein, wherein the radial inlet is open for charging the bore with pulp when said piston is in a first position and wherein the radial inlet is closed by said piston whilst the piston is driven by said device towards the outlet whereby pulp disposed within the bore is urged out of the outlet and returned to the first position.</p> |
