<p>PURPOSE: To stably secure and maintain a proper contact state of a magnetic tape with an upper drum in particular. CONSTITUTION: The upper drum 2 equipped with a magnetic head 4 and a lower drum 3 having a lead 5 for guiding the magnetic tape 6 are arranged via a center shaft 7 to be mutually rotatable, and a tape pressing member 1 capable of contact with the magnetic tape 6 is equipped on the upper side of the upper drum 2. The tape pressing member 1 is disposed in order that a gap Y between the lower end of the tape pressing member 1 in the vicinity of a contact starting position of the magnetic tape 6 with the magnetic head 4 and the upper end of the outer circumferential surface of the upper drum 2 and a projecting amt. X of the upper end of the magnetic tape 6 at the time of contact between the magnetic tape 6 and the tape pressing member 1 from the outer circumferential surface of the upper drum 2 are set to values in an area surrounded by the following four straight lines.
