PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the interchangeability of a light source holder or a light source unit in an optical scanner, in which a plurality of light source units equipped with the light source, a condenser and the light source holder for holding them, a deflection means for making light beams from the plurality of light source units scan and an optical means for forming an image by guiding a plurality of light beams made to scan by the deflection means to a surface to be scanned are provided in a single optical housing, and the plurality of light source units emitting a plurality of light beams from at least one units thereof are attached to the optical housing so that they can rotationally adjusted. SOLUTION: A plurality of attaching parts (30Lα, 30Lβ, 32c1, 32c2, 32c3, 32d1, 32d2 and 32d3) of the light source holder 503 to the optical housing are provided at positions symmetric to a virtual plane VH1, thus the holder 503 can be attached in a state where it is rotated by 180°with the center of rotation O2 as center.
