PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a primer coating apparatus which has a simple construction and can efficiently coat a primer in an even coating width. SOLUTION: In this primer coating apparatus for coating a primer for mounting a frame on an edge part of a glass face, a coating head 2 is provided that can attach, in a sandwiched state, a felt material 1 which can hold a primer liquid, with the lower face thereof exposed to the exterior. A coating pattern guide 18 in the imitation of the edge part of the glass face is provided on the lower surface of the coating head 2, and a primer supply port 26 is provided on the upper part of the coating head 2 at its position substantially corresponding to the coating pattern guide 18.
