PURPOSE:To replace a drum easily while facilitating the extraction of a jamming transfer material, by separating a peeling belt from an image carrier while opening a carriage path of the transfer material separately and completely upon occasion. CONSTITUTION:To a transfer material P fed to a transfer part 2 by carriage rollers 3a and 3b synchronizing with a latent image formed on a photosensitive drum 1, the imge on the photoreceptor is transferred while at least its one-side edge is separated from the photosensitive drum 1 by a peeling belt 5. After the transfer, the transfer material P is guided to the peeling belt 5 to reach a peeling roller 8, where it is peeled off from the surface of the photosensitive drum 1 and then guided. Then, a unit U is unlocked and a unit plate is turned to increase the gaps between the carriage rollers 3a and 3b, upper and lower guides 4a and 4b, and a transfer discharge 2 plus a peeling roller 8 and the peeling belt 5, so that while a jamming transfer material is removed easily, the drum is replaced without damaging its circumferential surface. |
