PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a household electrical appliance network system which does not control a passive household electrical appliance by mistake, even when control commands are input from a plurality of active household electrical appliances, and to provide a method for controlling the same. SOLUTION: The household electrical appliance network system comprises: a plurality of the passive household electrical appliances P controlled in response to the control commands to be transmitted through an internal network built for a home networking system; and the plurality of active household electrical appliances A for transmitting the control commands capable of controlling the plurality of the passive household electrical appliances P to the internal network. When the plurality of the active household appliances A transmit different control commands to the one of the plurality of the active household electrical appliances P, the appliances P impart numbers to the control commands and transmit the commands, and the passive appliance P is controlled only by the finally input control command based on this imparted number.
