PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the output level of a booster circuit in a standby state. SOLUTION: A negative voltage charge pump 4 negatively boosts a power supply voltage VD to produce a boosted voltage VOL. A capacitor 4a for the purpose of stabilizing the output voltage of the charge pump is connected to the output side of the negative voltage charge pump 4. A switching transistor 22 is connected between a grounding point VG and the output of the negative voltage charge pump 4 and the gate of the transistor 22 is connected to a level shift circuit 23. The switching transistor 22 is operated in response to a control signal CT which inverts its logic level depending on the operating state of an imaging apparatus and assumes an ON state in response to the setting of the imaging apparatus to the standby mode.
