PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing apparatus for arranging a rack by which pulling out and pushing in operation can easily be performed to the rack and the pulling out position of a housing body can be position-changed without steps. SOLUTION: The housing body 2 is arranged in the rack 1 having an open bottom face, and a slide mechanism 3 for sliding this housing body 2 upward and downward is provided at this housing body 2 and the inner surface of the rack 1 so that the housing body 2 can be pulled out and arranged at a position lower than the open bottom facepart of the rack 1 in the direction of nearly just under this rack 1 from inside the rack 1 via this slide mechanism 3. At this rack 1 or the housing body 2, a winding out type constant load spring 4 which is to be wound out at least with the pulling out movement of the housing body 2 and which constantly applies nearly fixed resistance in the case of pulling out movement of the housing body 2 as the result of the occurrence of nearly fixed resistance in this winding out is provided. A switching mechanism 5 for switching this spring 4 to a wind-out possible state and to a wind-out stopping state is provided at the spring 4. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
