Two or more gases are separated in a process employing a shaped adsorbent/desorbent body. The adsorbent material especially has a static adsorbent capacity equilibrium effective primarily in the adsorption/desorbtion range. Open macro-pores transport gas from structured pores in the body form and/or minimal transport paths, through laminated adsorbent materials on substrates with open pores. The adsorbent body is a granular substance of mixed particle size, e.g. monomodal inert clay particles coated with an active adsorbent agent. The grains are pre-formed adsorbent grains with monomodal grain distribution. The grain sizes are 0.5-10 mm, preferably 1-5 mm. The macropore diameter is 100-1200 nm, preferably 200-1000 nm, with a pore volume preferably 200-600 mm3/g. The active absorbent agent is a zeolite, e.g. LTA, FAU, MFI, MOR, MEL or BEA. The substrate ceramic foam pores are 0.3-3 mm in diameter, preferably 1-2.5 mm. The ceramic substrate is a ceramic lamella sheet or fiber structure.
