PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a garbage disposal machine for preventing the stickiness of treatment matter (garbage) to the wall surface of a treatment tank when the treatment matter (garbage) is decomposed in the treatment tank while superheated and preventing the treatment matter (garbage) from becoming a heat insulating bed to prevent the transmission of heat to the treatment matter (garbage) to prevent the baking of the treatment matter (garbage) to the wall surface of the treatment tank. SOLUTION: The garbage disposal machine is constituted so that a rotary shaft 1 rotated by a drive means is provided in the treatment tank 3, rod-shaped paddles 2 are radially protruded from the rotary shaft 1 centering around the rotary shaft 1 and the treatment tank 3 is internally heated to decompose garbage. A moisture sensor 12 being a moisture detection means for detecting the moisture content of the garbage in the treatment tank 3 is provided and, when the moisture content detected by the moisture sensor 12 becomes a predetermined value or less, a treatment temperature is lowered.
