摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rain sensor that can reduce a malfunction by a strong wind, and can judge the start and finish of rainfall at high sensitivity and with quick response. SOLUTION: Photocatalysts 2, 4 of a titanium dioxide or the like are arranged between electrodes 1, 1 of the rain sensor using a resistance-value and capacity change between the electrodes to enhance hydrophilicity between the electrodes 1, 1. A rain drop is hardly blown away thereby by a wind to bring the highly sensitive judgement for rainfall. The photocatalysts 2, 4 have a function activated by photo-reception of sun light (ultraviolet ray) to promote oxidation reaction, an antifouling effect of decomposing an organic substance is exhibited thereby, and the high hydrophilicity between the electrodes is not deteriorated even when used for a long period.
