PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact direct current relay having a simple structure. SOLUTION: This direct current relay is provided with a pair of contacts 10, 20 in which at least either of them is the movable contact 10 and which are opened and closed for each other and an insulation plate 30 which is inserted between the contacts after the contacts are opened and is pulled out from between the contacts before closing the contacts to shut off securely by a simple configuration by mutual action of opening and closing drive of the contacts 10, 20 and insertion and pulling-out drive of the insulation plate 30. Moreover, an airtight structure is unnecessary, thereby manufacturing the relay inexpensively. In particular, the contacts 10, 20 do not come into contact with the insulation plate 30, thereby providing excellent mechanical service life. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
