PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas range wherein cleaning of a top plate is facilitated, and it is also easily used as a cooking table when being unused. SOLUTION: This gas range is so constituted that a heating part H heating a heating object has a projecting body T projecting above the top plate 3. This range is also provided with a raising/lowering means E for relatively raising/lowering the top plate 3 and the projecting body T and changing over their states between a used state where the projecting body T projects above the top plate 3 and an unused state where the projecting body T becomes the same height as the top plate 3 or is retreated below the top plate.
