<p>A blender apparatus (100) can be used to prepare a slurry from carrier fluids and solids. In a preferred embodiment, the blender (100) includes a mixing tub system (114, 124, 126), a fluids intake system (116, 134a, 134b), a solids intake system (112, 122, 123) and a slurry delivery system (118, 148a, 148b, 156b). The fluids intake system preferably includes a 1st intake pump (138a) and a second intake pump (138b) that independently or cooperatively draw fluids into the blender.
