The invention relates to a method and a device for compressing ozone-containing gas for an ozone pulp bleaching process. The aim of the invention is to improve one such device and one such method in such a way that they enable ozone to be compressed in a cost-effective, interference-free manner. To this end, the inventive method is characterised in that the gas (6) is subjected to steam jet compression with immediate cooling. The inventive device for carrying out the method consists of a steam jet compressor (10 - 12) and a cooling system for the immediate cooling of the compressed ozone-containing gas (6).
