PURPOSE: A reciprocating compressor is provided to allow the compressor to directly suck in without a separate gas guiding tube. CONSTITUTION: A compressor comprises a casing(110) having a suction tube(SP) on an upper side thereof, and a discharge tube(DP) on a side thereof; a frame unit(120) placed in the casing to elastically support in vertical direction; a reciprocating motor(130) fixed on the frame unit, and having a mover(133) reciprocating in vertical direction; a compression unit(140) including a piston joined to the mover of the reciprocating motor and a suction channel penetrating linearly with the suction tube, and a cylinder having the piston inserted therein to form a compression space(P); a resonant spring unit(150) supported by the frame unit, and having an upper resonant spring(151) and a rear resonant spring(152) to induce resonant movement of the mover and the piston; and a supporting spring unit including an upper supporting spring(162) having one end fixed on an inner upper side of the casing to receive an inner end of the suction tube and the other end fixed on an outer upper side of the frame unit to receive the suction channel so as to act as a gas guiding tube and to support the frame unit in vertical direction, and a plurality of lower supporting springs(161) having one ends fixed on an inner bottom of the casing and the other ends fixed on a lower outside of the frame unit to support the frame unit in vertical direction.
