SUBSTRATE FOR LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

PURPOSE: A substrate for a liquid crystal display is provided to completely discharge static electricity from the substrate by contacting a conductive film for preventing static electricity to a grounded manufacturing equipment. CONSTITUTION: A transparent insulating substrate(100) includes a first surface(101) and a second surface(102) opposite to the first surface. A conductive film(110) is formed on the first surface for discharging static electricity generated in a manufacturing process to the outside of the transparent insulating substrate. The conductive film is formed before wires for transmitting scan signals or video signals, thin film transistors controlling the video signals and a pixel electrode for receiving the video signals are formed on the second surface.
