PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor capable of detecting peeling-off in an end part of a joint in the longitudinal direction of a film attached to a surface of a handrail of the passenger conveyor. SOLUTION: This passenger conveyor is provided with the long film 7 attached to the surface in the longitudinal direction of the handrail 6 with the joint end part 7D and an abnormality detection device 14 provided in a return path of the handrail 6 to detect abnormal external force and stop travel of the handrail 6.
