SULFONAMIDE COMPOUND AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sulfonamide compound useful as a dye capable of affording a filter layer of magenta color having sufficiently satisfiable spectral characteristics.

SOLUTION: The sulfonamide compound is represented by general formula (I). A colored photosensitive resin composition containing the sulfonamide compound as a coloring matter contains, e.g. an alkali-soluble resin, a photosensitizer and a cross-linking agent. A color filter array can be produced by forming a color filter layer by patterning the colored photosensitive resin composition.
