SELF-EXTINGUISHING ADDITIVE RTV-2 CURING SILICONE RUBBER COMPOSITION

PURPOSE: A self-extinguishing additive RTV-2 silicone rubber composition is provided, which is improved in the self-extinguishing property without deterioration of the mechanical properties and can be cured at a room temperature. CONSTITUTION: The RTV-2 silicone rubber composition comprises 100 parts by weight of an organopolysiloxane represented by RO-(R'2SiO)n-R containing 0.05-0.15 mg/mol of a vinyl group at both terminals; 2-20 parts by weight of a hydrogen organopolysiloxane containing 0.05-0.15 mg/mol of a vinyl group at both terminals and a side chain; 1-100 parts by weight of diatomite or quartz powder having a particle size of 100 micrometers or less as an extender; 0.01-0.04 parts by weight of a platinum compound (platinum is diluted in an organic material by 5 % or less); 0.001-3 parts by weight of a rare earth metal compound (rare earth metal is diluted in an organic material by 5 % or less); 1-30 parts by weight of zinc carbonate; 0.01-0.1 parts by weight of a catalyst; and 0.01-3 parts by weight of a curing retarder, wherein R is a vinyl group; R' si a methyl group; and n is an integer of 110-250.
